Patrick Soucy's journey in the antique and auction business began at the remarkable age of 13, working at a local antique shop — unloading trucks, removing hardware from furniture, mowing the lawn. His passion solidified the day he attended his first estate clean-out and, soon after, his first auction.
One of his early personal acquisitions was an Empire mirror — looking into it, he found himself reflecting on its history, realizing it had been around before Abraham Lincoln's presidency.
After graduating high school at 18, he opened his first antique shop that July. In hindsight, he acknowledges his mother's advice about pursuing college and a business degree — but those early missteps were formative to who he is today.
Nearly five decades later, Patrick Soucy continues to thrive in the antique and auction world — not just buying and selling, but helping families through the process of an estate.
Estates have items in every category, and the biggest mistake people make is throwing things away or giving and selling items before having us look and explain what's actually selling in the market.
If you need a plumber, you call a plumber. If you need an electrician, you call an electrician — the same goes for knowing the value of your estate. Don't take it upon yourself, or a neighbor's word, to decide what has value and what doesn't.

Items rescued from a dumpster
We were called to an estate where the family had already rented a dumpster and filled it. Before it was hauled away, we pulled it back — what they considered trash turned out to be saleable antiques and collectibles.
4 cars brought double the best offer
One family had four antique and classic cars, with offers already in hand from friends and neighbors. Their attorney told them it needed to go to auction for fair market value. All four vehicles brought more than double the best private offer they’d received, even the one used as a daily driver.
A Buddha: $10,000 offer → $87,000 at auction
An estate included a carved village Buddha the executor had a private offer of $10,000 for. We convinced him to bring it to auction instead. On sale day, the world’s largest Asian art dealer flew in from England to bid — the Buddha brought $87,000.
